Six weeks. That's how long your last role sat open while the applications piled up and none of them made you comfortable.

Here's the uncomfortable math behind that: only about a quarter of the workforce is actively job hunting. The people applying to your post are drawn from that slice. The other three quarters, the employed ones doing the work right now for someone else, will never see your listing.

You weren't screening a weak market. You were screening the wrong three-quarters.

Available is not the same as capable

A job post filters for one trait: availability. Whoever happens to be looking this month.

The overlap between "available right now" and "person you'd trust with the work" is thinner than anyone likes to admit. Which is why a folder of forty applications can still contain zero hires.

Fixing it means finding people who are employed, in a market you don't know, and giving them a real reason to take your call. That isn't an afternoon on LinkedIn. It's a full-time job.

So we made it our full-time job

Send us a role and our recruiters build a target list inside firms like Deloitte, McKinsey, Amazon and OpenAI in the regions we source from, then approach those people directly.

They don't sit and wait for applications to arrive.

We run four funnels at once: job boards, direct headhunting of employed talent, region-specific content, and referral partners. Most recruiters run exactly one, and it's usually the job board.

Here's what hunting actually produces

One placement from last year came out of a Big Four practice in Eastern Europe:

  • Seven years running reporting and process for teams bigger than most of our clients' whole companies.
  • Fluent English.
  • Full overlap with the US East Coast afternoon.

They had never applied for a job in their life. Not once.

We found them, made the introduction, and our client hired them directly at under $4,000 a month. The same seat pays six figures in the US. That number is market rate where they live, not a discount on what they can do.

Why would someone content in their seat move? Because for a strong operator in Belgrade or Bucharest, a US role is the biggest career step on the board, and almost none of them can reach it alone.

Half our clients hire one of the first candidates we show them. That's what hunting in the right pool does.

If your last search ended in a folder of applications and no hire, reply with the role you're trying to fill. I'll tell you which region we'd hunt in and what it costs to hire there.

Or put a name to it on a call: book a chat with our recruitment specialists.

Until next time, The Go Carpathian Team
